Have
you fallen victim to a starving diet plan, where you cut calories so deep that
you’re constantly hungry and likely angry most of the time because you’re hungry?
Lol! Well this is a recipe for weight loss disaster. A lot people make the
mistake in assuming that to lose weight you have to eat less and your only food
options are those that lack flavor and are just not satisfying. For this reason
alone people fail at weight loss or fail to even try to get fit and healthy.
Here’s
the real deal losing weight is only a result of a healthy lifestyle. A healthy
lifestyle is not about eating less, it’s not about having intense cravings, and
it’s not about always feeling hungry. It’s about learning to eat better and eat
in a way that controls hungers and kicks cravings out the door.
I
had a client once who could not understand why diets just weren’t working for
her. She explained how she would eat chicken breast with no seasoning or she
would sometimes just eat once a day, or have a salad. And I’m thinking it’s no
wonder you’re failing at losing weight. There’s a formula to successful weight
loss and surprisingly enough a major component of it is eating! You have to eat
enough; you have to eat often and get satisfied in order to lose the weight.
The
goal is to replace fattening foods with healthy yummy options. Now don’t get me
wrong it may take some work to figure out what foods are healthy and learning
ways to make them taste flavorful because it is something new for you. Remember
a lot of people stick to old habits just because it’s familiar, and the
familiar seems easier. However what I’ve found is that the easier route doesn’t
usually lead to those great places in life where our dreams and deepest desires
are stored. No in order to get to those places it often takes hard work and a
commitment to figuring things out.
On
your journey to living a healthy lifestyle you’ll need to constantly examine
your weight loss actions and make sure you’re doing things that you can
maintain for the long-haul. Wining at losing weight is all about eating in way
that you can live with because that’s how you lose weight and keep it off.
